Our commitment

Firestorm Cultivation, LLC is committed to providing an inclusive experience online + in-store. We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance and continuously audit our site against it.

Web accessibility

Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. These are implemented and verified today:

  • Semantic HTML with ARIA labelling on interactive controls
  • A single H1 per page and a skip-to-content link first in tab order
  • Alt text on all non-decorative images
  • 16px input font-size floor, so iOS does not zoom on focus
  • Keyboard-navigable nav, menus, age gate and forms
  • Reduced-motion alternatives gated on prefers-reduced-motion

Known gaps we are actively working on: colour contrast on some accent-coloured labels and calls to action does not yet meet the 4.5:1 AA ratio at small sizes, and some touch targets fall below our 48px target. If any part of this site blocks you, email [email protected] or call a store and we will help directly and prioritise a fix.

In-store accessibility

Both Bangor (1172 Hammond St) and Orono (6 Stillwater Ave) storefronts are wheelchair-accessible with free on-site parking, accessible parking spaces, ramp entry, wide aisles, and accessible checkout counters.

Service animals

Service animals are welcome at both stores per ADA + Maine Human Rights Act.
